A Wizard of Earthsea

My first real foray into high fantasy, and this was an incredible start. I wondered how similar this would be to the Ghibli film, but thankfully it shared very few similarities. Ursula's writing style is incredible, very literary (which I'm not usually a fan of, but I've been won over on finishing this book), and she paints vivid images of fantastical scenery, magic, characters and lore with the way she writes. I can't wait to start on the second book!
